The majority of classrooms have Broadband Internet access and there is a strong emphasis on the use of I.T. to facilitate student learning.
Students here benefit from the extra attention they receive in small class groups. Students can avail of the services of our Resource Teacher, Learning Support Teacher, Career Guidance Teacher, School Counsellor, Support Centre. An after school Supervised Study Scheme and a Homework Club is provided.
The school is constantly engaging with outside agencies such as U.C.C., C.I.T., Cork City Partnership and the City Council to enhance what it has to offer. We use every opportunity possible to encourage students to aspire to further study and a rewarding career that is both challenging and suited to each girl’s talents and abilities.
Students are encouraged to become involved in sports. The school has a strong tradition in Basketball, Camogie and Soccer and class groups get the opportunity to take part in Adventure and Outdoor Pursuit activities.

The school places great importance on the promotion of leadership and civic responsibility in the young person. The Student Council, Meitheal Programme, Class Prefect System and Anam Chairde Programme all provide opportunity to develop this and at the same time allows the student to give something back to the school and her peers.
The school acknowledges student achievement three times during the year through the “Realt Awards”. We hold an annual “Awards Night” each May that gives formal recognition to students throughout the school for exceptional effort, talent or achievement.
