Green School Action Day - Be Keen, Be Green

European Comenius Project

Three Transition Year students and their teachers are heading to Lucca, Italy on Thursday 8th March for six days to participate in a European Comenius Project with our partner schools from Italy, Norway, France and Germany. The students are working on a film with the partner schools at present entitiled "How the past influences the future". This project is looking at how we transfer our values from generation to generation and our school has looked at the long tradition of emigration from Ireland down through the years and the values we have brought to the countries we emigrated to in the past. The culmination of this project will take place in France in May and we look forward to viewing the final production. Healthy Eating Initiative

Healthy Eating Initiative commenced on March 5th with the introduction of our H20 Zone for the season of Lent. This means that all our students do not drink anything other than water during the month of March here in school. We are certain that this positive action will improve the concentration and energy levels of our students during the school day and that they will feel the benefits in their general health as well.
